Non-Executive Vice Chairman of the Board
Mr. Yu Shiliang is NonExecutive Director of China National Materials Co. Ltd. effective February 5 2013. He was appointed as NonExecutive Director of the Company since March 27 2009. He served as an Executive Director and the President of the Company from July 2007 to March 2009 and then was redesignated as a NonExecutive Director of the Company and ceased to be the President of the Company since 27 March 2009. He served as the general manager of the Parent from April 1997 to October 2000 and served as the deputy general manager of the Parent from October 2002 to October 2007. Mr. Yu has worked over 25 years in the nonmetal materials industry and therefore has gained operational and managerial experience as well as knowledge of this field. Mr. Yu has served various positions in Xianyang Research Design Institute of Ceramics such as the deputy head and head of the institute since 1984 and served as the head of the Synthetic Crystals Research Institute currently a subsidiary of the Parent from April 1995 to April 1997. Mr. Yu was also a director of Sinoma Science Technology an A Sharelisted company from December 2001 to December 2004 and from March 2008 to present. Mr. Yu was entitled to a special government allowance provided by the State Council in 1993. In 1999 and 2007 he was awarded with the title as Top Ten News Figures in the PRC Building Materials Industry. Mr. Yu also serves as vice chairman of Chinese Ceramic Society and deputy director of the Information Committee of the China Enterprise Confederation. Mr. Yu was the representatives of the 16th and 17th National Peoples Congress of Communist Party. Mr. Yu graduated from Nanjing University of Technology in August 1978 in ceramics and he is also a professorate senior engineer.
