Dr. Andres Ricardo Gluski Weilert is President, Chief Executive Officer, Director of the Company. Prior to assuming his current position, Mr. Gluski served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the Company since March 2007. Prior to becoming the COO of AES, Mr. Gluski was EVP and the Regional President of Latin America from 2006 to 2007. Mr. Gluski was Senior Vice President for the Caribbean and Central America from 2003 to 2006, CEO of La Electricidad de Caracas from 2002 to 2003 and CEO of AES Gener in 2001. Prior to joining AES in 2000, Mr. Gluski was EVP and Chief Financial Officer of EDC, EVP of Banco de Venezuela, Vice President for Santander Investment, and EVP and CFO of CANTV . Mr. Gluski has also worked with the International Monetary Fund in the Treasury and Latin American Departments and served as Director General of the Ministry of Finance of Venezuela. Mr. Gluski currently serves on President Obama Export Council, the USBrazil CEO Forum and the USIndia CEO Forum. He is a member of the Board of Waste Management, and is Chairman of AES Gener in Chile and AES Brasiliana in Brazil. Mr. Gluski is also Chairman of the Americas SocietyCouncil of the Americas, and Director of the Edison Electric Institute and the USPhilippines Society
