He was a Member of the Board of the Maryland Small Business Development Finance Authority and Chairman of a special Task Force on Minority Business Reform for the Governor of the State of Maryland. He was Chairman of the National Urban Coalition and a member of the National Fundraising Campaign Committee of the NAACP.
