Mr. Mustafa Abubakar serves as the President Commissioner, Independent Commissioner of PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk since March 19, 2015. He was appointed as Vice President Commissioner on March 28, 2012, and as Independent Commissioner on November 19, 2014. Previously he served as Minister for StateOwned Enterprises of the Republic of Indonesia, President Director of State Logistics Agency, Provincial Governor of Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam, Inspector General of the Department of Marine Affairs and Fisheries, and Inspector General of the Department of Marine Exploration and Fisheries . He graduated with an Engineering degree in Water Resources Management from Bogor Agricultural University in 1977, MS in Marine Engineering from IPB in 2002, and a Doctorate degree in Marine Engineering from IPB in 2004. He also attended various trainings, including The 1st Annual Islamic Finance Conference Forum on Sukuk for Infrastructure Development, Jakarta, The IIA International Conference 2016 and Financial Institutions, New York, ECIIA Conference on Governance, Risk and Control Benchmarking, Stockholm, Moscow, Helsinki, ASEAN Banking Conference and 46th ASEAN Banking Council Meeting, Bangkok . since 2015.
