Mr. Baudouin Velge has served as Member of the Board of Directors of BEKAERT NV since 1998. He is Member of the Audit and Finance Committee. He started in 1983 as Attache of the Department of Economic Studies of the National Bank of Belgium. In 1987 he joined the Philips Electronics Group until 1991 when he transferred to the Cobac Group . In the Cobac Group Mr. Velge held several positions as General Manager Cobac Services Belgium Director Sogasander Member of the Board of Management Director Cobac Services Netherlands and Secretary of the Board of Directors Cobac S.A. From 1996 till 2004 he was Manager of the Economic Department of the VBOFEB Federation of Belgian Companies Deputy Chairman of the Central Economic Council and Member of the Board of Directors of Delcredere. From November 2004 till December 2007 he was CEO of Fedis the Federation of Belgian Retailers. He was Managing Director of Interel Belgium PR PA a strategic communications and public affairs consultancy since December 2007. He is Member of the Board of Cofinimmo and Member of the Advisory Board of BT Benelux. Furthermore Mr. Velge has teaching experience as Lecturer Macroeconomics at the Universities of St Louis Pennsylvania and at Louvain and HUB the HogeschoolUniversiteit Brussels in Belgium. He holds a degree in Philosophy and a degree in Economics from the Catholic University of Leuven. He gained a Doctorate in Philosophy in Economics in 1983 at the University of Pennsylvania. since 1998.

NV Bekaert SA Leadership Team
