Carl Bache has many years of senior leadership experience from positions as research coordinator, committee chairman, departmental head, university senator and dean. He was a member of Danish research councils and committees, i.a. the Board of the Danish Independent Research Council, and was chairman of the Research Policies Committee of the Royal Danish Academy of Sciences and Letters. In addition to his substantial management experience and his aptitude for analytical and strategic thinking, Carl Bache has a highly developed intercultural understanding from his international education and work experience. He is Professor and holds Doctorate of Philosophy degree. since 2014.
