He has served as Company president and chief executive officer since 2002, Company vice chairman of the board since 2000 and on Company board of directors since 1993. Mr. Bowers was employed by us or our predecessors since 1960 in various sales, marketing and executive positions, having been named president of our security products and related businesses in 1979. Mr. Bowers is trustee emeritus and former chairman of the board of Monmouth College, Monmouth, Illinois. Mr. Bowers has over 53 years of experience serving CompX, in which he developed general management, senior executive, corporate governance, finance and financial accounting oversight experience. since 2018.
