Dr. Robert Glenn Hubbard, Ph.D., is Independent Trustee of the company. Dr. Hubbard has served in numerous roles in the field of economics, including as the Chairman of the U.S. Council of Economic Advisers of the President of the United States. Dr. Hubbard serves as the Dean of Columbia Business School, has served as a member of the Columbia Faculty and as a Visiting Professor at the John F. Blackrock Debt Strategies Leadership Team
Elected by the shareholders, the Blackrock Debt's board of directors comprises two types of representatives: Blackrock Debt inside directors who are chosen from within the company, and outside directors, selected externally and held independent of Blackrock. The board's role is to monitor Blackrock Debt's management team and ensure that shareholders' interests are well served.
