He is Chairman of the General Shareholders Meeting of Banco Santander Totta, Brisa, AutoEstradas de Portugal, S.A. and EDP Energias de Portugal, S.A. he is the Chairman of the Audit Board at Siemens Portugal and Tabaqueira Industria. He is also a nonexecutive Chairman of reas, Board Member of CTT, Correios de Portugal. Chairman of Instituto Jacques Delors, Paris. Partner of Cuatrecasas, Gonalves Pereira from December 2005 onwards. He was elected Member of EDP Energias de Portugal, S.A. on the 21st April 2015. since 2015.

EDP - Energias Leadership Team
Elected by the shareholders, the EDP Energias' board of directors comprises two types of representatives: EDP Energias inside directors who are chosen from within the company, and outside directors, selected externally and held independent of EDP.
