Return On Assets is likely to gain to 0.06 in 2024, whereas Return On Capital Employed is likely to drop 0.09 in 2024. The company has 3.52 B in debt with debt to equity (D/E) ratio of 2.19, meaning that the company heavily relies on borrowing funds for operations. Equity Lifestyle Pro has a current ratio of 0.27, suggesting that it has not enough short term capital to pay financial commitments when the payables are due. Debt can assist Equity Lifestyle until it has trouble settling it off, either with new capital or with free cash flow. So, Equity Lifestyle's shareholders could walk away with nothing if the company can't fulfill its legal obligations to repay debt. However, a more frequent occurrence is when companies like Equity Lifestyle Pro sell additional shares at bargain prices, diluting existing shareholders. Debt, in this case, can be an excellent and much better tool for Equity to invest in growth at high rates of return. When we think about Equity Lifestyle's use of debt, we should always consider it together with cash and equity.
