Likewise, it shows a return on total equity (ROE) of (0.4892) %, which implies that it produced no returns to current stockholders. Equillium's management efficiency ratios could be used to measure how well Equillium manages its routine affairs as well as how well it operates its assets and liabilities. As of 04/18/2024, Return On Tangible Assets is likely to drop to -0.28. In addition to that, Return On Capital Employed is likely to drop to -0.66. At this time, Equillium's Total Current Liabilities is relatively stable compared to the past year. The company reports 824 K of total liabilities with total debt to equity ratio (D/E) of 0.29, which may suggest the company is not taking enough advantage from financial leverage. Equillium has a current ratio of 3.9, indicating that it is in good position to pay out its debt commitments in time. Debt can assist Equillium until it has trouble settling it off, either with new capital or with free cash flow. So, Equillium's shareholders could walk away with nothing if the company can't fulfill its legal obligations to repay debt. However, a more frequent occurrence is when companies like Equillium sell additional shares at bargain prices, diluting existing shareholders. Debt, in this case, can be an excellent and much better tool for Equillium to invest in growth at high rates of return. When we think about Equillium's use of debt, we should always consider it together with cash and equity.
