Mr. Peter Francis Young AM was NonExecutive Independent Director of Fairfax Media Ltd. since September 16 2005. Over the last 30 years Mr Young was an investment banking Executive in Australia New Zealand and the U.S.A. He is currently the Chairman of Barclays Australia and New Zealand. He was a member of the Royal Bank of Scotlands Advisory Council in Australia. He also served as Chairman of Investment Banking for ABN AMRO in Australia and New Zealand. From 1998 to 2002 Mr Young was Executive Vice Chairman ABN AMRO Group and Head of Telecommunications Media Technology Client Management for Asia Pacific. He is also currently the Chairman of Queensland Investment Corporationrationration and a Director of PrimeAg Australia and the Sydney Theatre Company as well as a member of the Queensland Art Gallery Board of Trustees. He is involved in a number of community environmental and artistic activities.
