First Potomac Management Efficiency
First Potomac's management efficiency ratios could be used to measure how well First Potomac manages its routine affairs as well as how well it operates its assets and liabilities. The company has 645.26 M in debt with debt to equity (D/E) ratio of 129.8, demonstrating that the company may be unable to create cash to meet all of its financial commitments. First Potomac Realty has a current ratio of 1.83, which is typical for the industry and considered as normal. Debt can assist First Potomac until it has trouble settling it off, either with new capital or with free cash flow. So, First Potomac's shareholders could walk away with nothing if the company can't fulfill its legal obligations to repay debt. However, a more frequent occurrence is when companies like First Potomac Realty sell additional shares at bargain prices, diluting existing shareholders. Debt, in this case, can be an excellent and much better tool for First to invest in growth at high rates of return. When we think about First Potomac's use of debt, we should always consider it together with cash and equity.
