Experience Currently a managing partner of St. James Asset Management and AEA Capital. Chairman of Compact GTL Limited and Colombia Oil and Gas. He was CEO of BP plc from 200710, having joined BP in 1982. He became group treasurer in 2000, chief executive for BP upstream activities and a member of the main board of BP in 2003. From 201115 he was CEO of Genel Energy plc and chairman from 201517. Dr Hayward studied geology at Aston University in Birmingham and completed a Ph.D at Edinburgh University. He is a fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh. since 2013.
