In 1977, Mr. Fokas graduated from the Law School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, whilst during 19771978 he undertook postgraduate studies in shipping law at the University College London. As an AttorneyAtLaw Mr. Fokas was a Member of the Piraeus Bar Association since 1980 and practices law specializing in the sectors of maritime and corporate law. Mr. Fokas is a member of the Hellenic Maritime Law Association, whereas since 2005 he is a member of the Board of Directors and General Counsel of Aegean Marine Petroleum Network Inc., which is listed on the New York Stock Exchange. He was Member of the Audit Committee of the Company between October 11, 2013 and November 7, 2013. He is Member of the Remuneration and Nomination Committee of the Company. since 2013.
