Mr. Thomas H. Weidemeyer serves as Independent Director of The Goodyear Tire Rubber Co., since December 9, 2004. Mr. Weidemeyer served as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of United Parcel Service, Inc., a transportation and logistics company, from January 2001, and as President and Chief Operating Officer of UPS Airlines from July 1994, until his retirement in February 2004. Mr. Weidemeyer became Manager of the Americas International Operation of UPS in 1989, and in that capacity directed the development of the UPS delivery network throughout Central and South America. In 1990, he became Vice President and Airline Manager of UPS Airlines and in 1994 was elected its President and Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Weidemeyer was a director of United Parcel Service from 1998 to 2003. since 2004.
