Dr. Santiago Montenegro Trujillo serves as Independent Chairman of the Board of Interconexion Electrica S.A. E.S.P. He is also Member of the Company Corporationrationrate Governance and New Business Committees. In the past, he served as Economist at the World Bank, Government Advisor for the Coffee Industry, Dean of the School of Economics at Universidad de Los Andes, President of Asociacion Nacional de Instituciones Financieras ANIF and Director of the National Planning Department. Moreover, he has acted as President of Asociacion Colombiana de Administradoras de Fondos de Pensiones y CesantiasAsofondos, Member of the Advisory Council for Science, Technology and Innovation of the Colombian Government and Member of the Council of Universidad de Los Andes. In 1997, he founded the Summer International School of the School of Economics of Universidad de Los Andes. He holds a Bachelors and a Masters degree, both in Economics from Universidad de Los Andes, a MS degree in Economics from the London School of Economics and a Doctorate in Philosophy degree from the University of Oxford. since 2016.
