Prof. Jean Paul Fitoussi serves as Independent Member of the Supervisory Board of Intesa Sanpaolo SpA since April 30 2010. He also serves as Member of the Strategy Committee of the Company. He received a Ph.D. in Law and Economics from the Universite de Strasbourg. He is Professor of Economics at the Institut dEtudes Politiques in Paris where he has taught since 1982 and where he is currently President of the Scientific Council. He is also Chairman of the Observatoire Francais des Conjonctures Economiques an institute dedicated to economic research and forecasts. From 1990 until 1993 he was the Chairman of the Economic Advisory Board of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. From 2000 until 2009 he worked as Specialist at the European Parliament Commission of Monetary and Economic Affairs. He was a Board Director of Telecom Italia SpA since May 6 2004. Since April 2009 he was a Board Director of Banca Sella. since 2010.
