Fund Manager since January 1, 2012Vassilios Papathanakos Ph.D. was named INTECHs deputy chief investment officer in November 2012. Prior to that he was the firms director of research based in Princeton N.J. As deputy CIO Dr. Papathanakos is jointly responsible with Dr. Adrian Banner INTECHs chief executive officer and chief investment officer for the daytoday implementation of INTECHs investment process and trading operations a natural extension of what hes been doing for some time. Drs. Banner and Papathanakos have worked together during the past few years to implement INTECHs investment process research new solutions and enhancements to INTECHs process. They will continue collaborating on those items and jointly manage INTECHs investment team consisting of five Ph.Ds. Before joining INTECH Dr. Papathanakos received his Ph.D. in Physics from Princeton University in November 2006 and earned a B.S. in Physics from the University of Ioannina Greece in July 2001. In parallel Dr. Papathanakos has accumulated a long teaching experience instructing courses in all undergraduate and graduate levels assisting in the development of new courses and coaching new teaching assistants. As recognition of this he received an Excellence in Teaching award in 2004 from Princeton University.
