Mr. Norbert Steiner was Chairman of the Executive Board at KS AG from July 1 2007 to May 12 2017. He was responsible for the Corporationrationrate Development and Controlling Legal and Compliance Investor Relations Communication International Human Resources Coordination and the Salt Business Segment at the Company. Since January 2012 he further took over responsibility for the areas of Finance and Accounting Taxes Audit and Insurance. Previously he had been Vice Chairman of the Executive Board of the Company since January 2006. He was appointed to the Companys Executive Board on May 12 2000. In 1983 he joined the department of taxes and customs duties at BASF AG headquarters. From 1988 onwards Mr. Steiner headed the customs duties and excise subunit. In 1993 he transferred to KS Aktiengesellschaft becoming Head of Legal Affairs Taxes and Insurance. Apart from the current position in the Company Mr. Steiner holds mandates in the Supervisory Boards of E.ON Mitte AG and KS Kali GmbH. He graduated in Law from Universitaet Heidelberg in 1980 subsequently completing his legal traineeship at the Higher Regional Court Karlsruhe. since 2007.

KS AG DRC Leadership Team
Elected by the shareholders, the KS AG's board of directors comprises two types of representatives: KS AG inside directors who are chosen from within the company, and outside directors, selected externally and held independent of KPLUY. The board's role is to monitor KS AG's management team and ensure that shareholders' interests are well served. KS AG's inside directors are responsible for reviewing and approving budgets prepared by upper management to implement core corporate initiatives and projects.
