Prior to joining Sohu Mr. Gurnee held a number of senior positions with Chartered Semiconductor Manufacturing Ltd. including Vice President for Business Development President Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer . Previously Mr. Gurnee spent 13 years at Schlumberger Ltd. as finance director of various divisions in France Singapore and the United States. Mr. Gurnee previously was a member of the Boards of Directors of Sohu and of Longtop Financial Technologies Limited since 2004.
