Ms. Che Zakiah Binti Che Din was Independent NonExecutive Director at Malayan Banking Berhad since March 1, 2018. She holds a Bachelor Degree in Economics from University of Malaya. She has more than 30 years experience working with Bank Negara Malaysia . She joined BNM in 1982 and served in various departments and positions. She was the Director of Financial Conglomerates Supervision Department of BNM since 2004 until her retirement on 30 April 2017. Her main responsibility under this role was to oversee the implementation of prudential supervision on eight domestic banking groups on consolidated basis. The supervision focused on the enforcement of prudential regulations and measures to mitigate Anti Money Laundering and combating the financing of terrorism risks. Currently, she is a Public Interest Director of the Federation of Investment Managers Malaysia. since 2018.

Elected by the shareholders, the Malayan Banking's board of directors comprises two types of representatives: Malayan Banking inside directors who are chosen from within the company, and outside directors, selected externally and held independent of Malayan.
