Mr. Michael J. Castellano is Independent Trustee of the Company. Mr. Castellano has served as Chief Financial Officer of Lazard Ltd. and as a Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer of Lazard Group. Prior to joining Lazard, Mr. Castellano held various senior management positions at Merrill Lynch Co., including Senior Vice PresidentChief Control Officer for Merrill Lynchs capital markets businesses, Chairman of Merrill Lynch International Bank and Senior Vice PresidentCorporationrate Controller. Prior to joining Merrill Lynch Co., Mr. Castellano was a partner with Deloitte Touche where he served a number of investment banking clients over the course of his 24 years with the firm. Mr. Castellanos knowledge of financial and accounting matters qualifies him to serve as a member of each Funds Audit Committee. Mr. Castellanos independence from the Funds and the Funds investment advisor enhances his service as a member of the Audit Committee, Governance Committee and Performance Oversight Committee.
