Mr. William J. Schneider serves as Independent Chairman of the Board of Nuveen Select Maturities Municipal Fund since 2014. Mr. Schneider, the Boards Independent Chairman, is currently Chairman, formerly Senior Partner and Chief Operating Officer of MillerValentine Partners Ltd., a real estate investment company. He is an owner in several other MillerValentine entities. He is currently a member of the Board of WDPR Public Radio Station. He was formerly a Director and Past Chair of the Dayton Development Coalition. He was formerly a member of the Community Advisory Board of the National City Bank in Dayton as well as a former member of the Business Advisory Council of the Cleveland Federal Reserve Bank. Mr. Schneider was also a member of the Business Advisory Council for the University of Dayton College of Business. He also served as Chair of the Miami Valley Hospital and as Chair of the Finance Committee of its parent holding company. Mr. Schneider was an independent trustee of the Flagship Funds, a group of municipal openend funds. Mr. Schneider has a BS in Community Planning from the University of Cincinnati and a Masters of Public Administration from the University of Dayton. Mr. Schneider joined the Board in 1996.
