He first joined the company in 2012 to oversee its potash expansion program. Raef began his career at Hyder Consulting PLC in Sydney, Australia. As an associate director, he was involved in engineering design and construction management of large infrastructure projects. From 2001 to 2012, he worked at Bain Company, where he was a principal in its mining and resources practice. Raef has a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering and holds a Doctorate in Structural Engineering, both from the University of Sydney. since 2018.
