For many years he has directed the RD department of BERKOM project at the German Telekom. He has published numerous papers about distributed computer systems and applications. Professor PopescuZeletin currently cooperates in standardization committees and also in the development of telecommunication standards. Since 1987 he was professor at the Technical University of Berlin and Head of Fraunhofer Institute for Open Communication Systems . Mr. PopescuZeletin is and was member of different supervisory and advisory boards such as Detecon GmbH Teles AG GET IVISTAR AG etc.
