Mr. Lawrence J. Ellison is an Executive Chairman of the Board, Founder, Chief Technology Officer of the Company. Mr. Ellison was our Chairman of the Board and CTO since September 2014. Mr. Ellison served as our CEO from June 1977, when he founded Oracle, until September 2014. He previously served as our Chairman of the Board from May 1995 to January 2004. Mr. Ellison is Oracles founder and served as our CEO since we commenced operations in June 1977 through September 2014. He is widely regarded as a technology visionary and one of the worlds most successful business executives. Mr. Ellisons familiarity with and knowledge of our technologies and product offerings are unmatched. He continues to lead and oversee our product engineering, technology development and strategy. For over 40 years he has successfully steered Oracle in new strategic directions in order to adapt to and stay ahead of our competition and changing industry trends. Mr. Ellison is our largest stockholder, beneficially owning approximately 31 percent of the outstanding shares of our common stock, directly aligning his interests with those of all of our stockholders. since 2014.
