He started his career at Banco Pactual in 1993 in the area of financial computer systems development and became Partner in 1995. He is Member of the Board of Directors of several companies including Equatorial Energia SA Companhia Energetica do Maranhao CEMAR and Companhia Siderurgica Nacional. He graduated in Electrical Engineering from Pontificia Universidade Catolica do Rio de Janeiro .
