Mr. Lyons serves as chairman of the board of BRE Properties, Inc., a real estate investment trust investing in apartment communities, and as a member of the board of Equinix, Inc., a global data center operator. Mr. Lyons joined the Trust when King & Lyons, an industrial real estate management and development company, was acquired by the Trust in 1993. Mr. Lyons had been the managing general partner in that firm since its inception in 1979 and was one of its principals at the time of the acquisition
Lyons received a Master in Business Administration from Stanford University and a BS in industrial engineering and operations research from the University of California at Berkeley.
