Mr. Gregory L. Burns is an Independent Director of Pinnacle Financial Partners, Inc. Mr. Burns is President of Gregory Burns Consulting Group, LLC. Previously he was founder, president and chief executive officer of NeighborMD Management, LLC, a developer and operator of NeighborMD Urgent Care centers, which was started in 2010 and was acquired by Urgent Care Enterprises, a joint venture between TriStar Health and Care Spot Express Healthcare on April 12, 2013. Prior to his retirement on February 12, 2009, Mr. Burns served as chairman of the board and chief executive officer for OCharley Inc., then a SEC registered public restaurant company, headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee. Mr. Burns joined OCharley in 1983 as controller, and later held the positions of executive vice president, chief financial officer and president before becoming chief executive officer in February, 1994. Prior to joining OCharley, he served as chief financial officer for the Nashville Banner Publishing Company, a newspaper publisher, and a senior accountant for Price Waterhouse. Mr. Burns currently serves on the Advisory Board of the University of Kentucky Gatton School of Business, the board of the Nashville Public Education Foundation where he was past chairman, and the board of The Dan and Margaret Maddox charitable fund. His other civic activities have included serving as chair and board member of the Nashville Chapter of the American Cancer Society and the Nashville Sports Council, and as a board member of the Nashville Ballet, the Music City Bowl, the Vanderbilt Ingram Cancer Center, the Nashville Area Red Cross and the Nashville Symphony. Mr. Burns was also inducted into the University of Kentucky Gatton College of Business and Economics Alumni Hall of Fame in 2000. since 2001.
