Ms. Cora M. Tellez is an Independent Director of the Company and the Bank since October 2015. Ms. Tellez has served as the CEO and President of both Sterling Health Services Administration, Inc. and Sterling Self Insurance Administration since founding the companies in 2003 and 2010, respectively. Ms. Tellez previously served as the President of the health plans division of Health Net, Inc., an insurance provider that operated in seven states. She also has served as President of Prudentials western healthcare operations, CEO of Blue Shield of California, Bay Region, and Regional Manager for Kaiser Permanente of Hawaii. Ms. Tellez serves on the board of directors of HMS Holdings, Inc.,, and previously was a director of CorMedix. For HMS, Ms. Tellez chairs the Nominating and Governance Committee and serves on the Audit and Compensation Committees. She also serves on several nonprofit organizations such as the Institute for Medical Quality and UC San Diegos Center for Integrative Medicine since 2015.

Pacific Premier Bancorp Leadership Team
Elected by the shareholders, the Pacific Premier's board of directors comprises two types of representatives: Pacific Premier inside directors who are chosen from within the company, and outside directors, selected externally and held independent of Pacific. The board's role is to monitor Pacific Premier's management team and ensure that shareholders' interests are well served. Pacific Premier's inside directors are responsible for reviewing and approving budgets prepared by upper management to implement core corporate initiatives and projects.
