He served in the Ford administration as deputy assistant secretary of defense for international economic affairs and received the Secretary of Defense Medal for Outstanding Civilian Service. He is currently Senior Adviser of Energy National Security Program at the Center for Strategic International Studies in Washington DC. He founded the international group PFC Energy and has held several positions in the White House in different administrations. In 1984 he founded PFC Energy a company of which he was also president until 2013. He holds a Bachelors degree from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill and Jurist Doctor from Temple University School of Law in Philadelphia. since 2015.
