He was Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer of Wembley SA, CTNM, Empresa Nacional de Comercio, Redito e Participacoes SA, Encorpar and Companhia Tecidos Santanense. He is currently Chief Executive Officer of Jose Alencar Gomes da Silva Participacoes e Empreendimentos SA, Fazenda do Cantagalo Ltda., Wembley Palace Hotel Ltda, Econorte Empresa Construtora Norte de Minas Ltda and Ecopar Empresa de Comercio e Participacoes Ltda, among others. Moreover, he is Member and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Instituto de Estudos para o Desenvolvimento Industrial IEDI, as well as Member of Conselho de Empresarios da America Latina CEAL. He holds a degree in Civil Engineering from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, a Bachelors degree in Law from Faculdade Milton Campos and a Masters of Business Administration degree from the Vanderbilt University. since 2012.
