He was the Chairman of the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce, Hong Kong Exporters Association and Hong Kong Committee for the Pacific Economic Cooperation . Dr Fung has received numerous awards and accolades for his business contributions including the Silver Bauhinia Star by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region in 2008. He was also conferred the Honorary Degrees of Doctor of Business Administration by the Hong Kong University of Science Technology and by the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. since 2009.
