Dr. Norman M. Betts, BBA C.A., Ph.D., FCA, is an Independent Chairman of the Board of Starfield Resources Inc. Norman Betts joined the Corporation as a director in March 2006. He joined the faculty of the University of New Brunswick in 1981, and served as assistant dean of the MBA program and associate dean of faculty. He currently holds the position of associate professor in the Faculty of Business Administration. He was elected to the Legislative Assembly of the Province of New Brunswick in 1999 and served as both Minister of Finance and Minister of Business. He currently serves as a director of several companies, including New Brunswick Power, the primary power utility in New Brunswick a director and chair of the audit committee for Minacs Worldwide, a business solutions company traded on the TSX Exchange a director of Tembec Inc., a forest products company traded on the TSX Exchange and a director and chair of the audit committee of Tanzanian Royalty Exploration Corporationrationration, a mineral exploration company traded on the TSX and American Stock Exchange. since 2007.
