Mr. Serge Troeber is Member of the Executive Board and Chief Underwriting Officer Corporationrationrate Solutions at Swiss Re AG since November 1, 2010. He holds a Masters Degree in Environmental and Natural Sciences from Eidgenoessische Technische Hochschule Zuerich . Mr. Troeber joined Swiss Re in 1994 as a property underwriter for various European markets. In 2000, he moved on to take up the role of Underwriting Manager in Swiss Re Australian Branch in Sydney. Three years later, he returned to Zurich to join the natural perils department where he was in charge of the cat steering and cat risk management unit and later on appointed Head of Cat Perils. From 2008, he headed the Property Centre, with responsibility for all property insurance related activities in the areas of natural perils, terrorism and other manmade exposures, portfolio management, as well as treaty and single risk product management. He also acted as a referral underwriter for large property and nat cat transactions. Mr. Troeber is an Advisory Board member of the OECD network that deals with the financial management of largescale catastrophes. since 2010.
