Mr. Benedetto Vigna was President, Analog, MEMS and Sensors Group, Member of the Executive Committee at STMicroelectronics N.V. He is a member of STs Executive Committee since May 31, 2018. Mr. Vigna joined ST in 1995 and launched the Companys efforts in MEMS. Under his guidance, STs MEMS sensors established the Companys leadership with large OEMs in motionactivated user interfaces. Mr. Vigna has piloted STs successful moves into microphones, ecompasses, and touchscreen controllers, as well as environmental sensors, microactuators, industrial and automotive sensors, and lowpower radios for IoT. Mr. Vignas mandate was further expanded with analog ICs and RF products and smartpower devices for OEMs and mass market . STs Imaging division moved under his management in the fourth quarter of 2017. Mr. Vigna has more than 200 patents on micromachining, authored numerous publications, and sits on the boards of several EUfunded programs. Mr. Vignas contributions to the industry have been recognized with the MEMS Industry Groups Executive of the Year Award, the European SEMI Award, the IEEE Frederik Philips Award, and Manager of the Year 2017 by German magazine Markt Technik. Mr. Vigna was born in Potenza, Italy, in 1969, and graduated cum laude with a degree in Subnuclear Physics from the University of Pisa, Italy. since 2018.
