Mr. Mallet joined T. Rowe Price International in 2005 and his investment experience dates from 1997. He has served as a portfolio manager with the Firm throughout the past five years. Prior to joining T. Rowe Price International, he was a telecom banker at Credit Suisse First Boston in the Tokyo and London offices. Mr. Mallet started his career as a financial analyst with France Telecom, based in Guangzhou, China, and Madrid, Spain. Mr. Mallet earned an M.A. in finance, with honors, from the University of Paris and an M.B.A. from the London Business School.

Elected by the shareholders, the T Rowe's board of directors comprises two types of representatives: T Rowe inside directors who are chosen from within the company, and outside directors, selected externally and held independent of TRIGX. The board's role is to monitor T Rowe's management team and ensure that shareholders' interests are well served. T Rowe's inside directors are responsible for reviewing and approving budgets prepared by upper management to implement core corporate initiatives and projects. On the other hand, T Rowe's outside directors are responsible for providing unbiased perspectives on the board's policies.
