Ms. Cindy Ballard is Chief Human Resource Officer of the company. She is an accomplished Human Resources executive who is expert at helping media and advertising companies design, implement and accelerate their digital transformation strategies. Ballard partners closely with troncs executive leadership team and with the PublishersCEOs of the Companys major media groups, which include the California News Group, Chicago Tribune Media Group and major properties on the East Coast. She is responsible for all facets of HR, including corporate culture, talent planning, organizational design, health and welfare, compensation, benefits and more. Cindy previously served as Senior Vice President of HR for 20th Century Fox, where she managed international and domestic activities for the companys Worldwide Distribution Group, which employs 2, 500 employees in more than 31 countries. For 20th Century Fox, Cindy was instrumental in driving the companys transformation from a legacy media business to a dominant distributor of digital content. Earlier in her career, Cindy served as Senior Vice President of HR for Initiative Media, a global agency that is part of the Interpublic Group of companies, and in various leadership capacities with Borders Group, Inc., where she also designed and implemented a corporate diversity program. Cindy earned a bachelors degree in business administration from Northwood University. She belongs to numerous professional organizations, including the Society of Human Resource Management, the National Human Resources Association and Professionals in Human Resources Association.
