Maurath, in his capacity a former director of a subsidiary of Adidas, is currently named as a defendant in a criminal tax investigation by regulatory authorities in Argentina related to certain tax matters of the Adidas subsidiary in 2006. In November 2013, the trial court ruled that there were currently no grounds upon which to indict Mr. Maurath, and in December 2016, the case was dismissed. The dismissal was appealed. The Company believes this in no way impacts Mr. Maurath integrity or ability to serve as an executive officer.

Under Armour Management Efficiency

The company has Return on Asset (ROA) of 0.0346 % which means that for every $100 of assets, it generated a profit of $0.0346. This is way below average. Likewise, it shows a return on total equity (ROE) of 0.2012 %, which means that it produced $0.2012 on every 100 dollars invested by current stockholders. Under Armour's management efficiency ratios could be used to measure how well Under Armour manages its routine affairs as well as how well it operates its assets and liabilities. The current year's Return On Tangible Assets is expected to grow to 0.1. The current year's Return On Capital Employed is expected to grow to 0.24. At present, Under Armour's Total Assets are projected to increase significantly based on the last few years of reporting. The current year's Non Current Assets Total is expected to grow to about 2.3 B, whereas Non Currrent Assets Other are forecasted to decline to about 48.4 M.
The company reports 1.52 B of total liabilities with total debt to equity ratio (D/E) of 0.83, which is normal for its line of buisiness. Under Armour C has a current ratio of 2.05, indicating that it is in good position to pay out its debt commitments in time. Debt can assist Under Armour until it has trouble settling it off, either with new capital or with free cash flow. So, Under Armour's shareholders could walk away with nothing if the company can't fulfill its legal obligations to repay debt. However, a more frequent occurrence is when companies like Under Armour C sell additional shares at bargain prices, diluting existing shareholders. Debt, in this case, can be an excellent and much better tool for Under to invest in growth at high rates of return. When we think about Under Armour's use of debt, we should always consider it together with cash and equity.
