Mr. Angel Vila Boix serves as the Director of Telefonica Brasil S.A. since April 28, 2016. He serves as Director Head of Strategy and Finance and Executive Committee member of Telefnica S.A. He joined Telefonica Group in 1997 as Controller and became CFO of Telefonica Internacional. In 2000, he was elected as Head of Corporationrationrate Development and from 2010, he also supervised the affiliated companies of the group such as Atento, TGestiona and Telefnica Contenidos. In 2011 he became Director Head of Finance and Corporationrationrate Development, recently becoming the new Chief Director of Strategy and Finance, expanding his responsibilities by incorporating two additional areas Fonditel and Corporationrationrate Strategy. Before joining Telefonica, he worked at Citigroup, McKinsey Co, Ferrovial and Planeta. He is currently member of the Board of Directors of Telefnica Germany and Trustee in the Telefnica Foundation. He was also a member of Telco SpA Council, BBVA, Digital Plus, Atento, Telefnica Contenidos, Telefnica Czech Republic, Endemol, CTC Chile, Indra SSI and Terra Lycos, and Consultant at Macquarie MEIF funds Panel. He was nominated as best CFO in European Telecoms in 2015. He was also awarded with Thomson Reuters Extel PanEuropean Awards for no 1 CFO in Spain in 2013 and 2014 as well as no 1 CFO for telecommunication services in Europe in 2014. He graduated in Industrial Engineering from the Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya and an MBA from Columbia University . since 2016.
