Mr. Shivery is former nonexecutive Chairman of the Board of Northeast Utilities . He joined Northeast Utilities in 2002 and was Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer from March 2004 until April 2012, upon the completion of the merger with NSTAR, and then served as nonexecutive Chairman of the Board until October 2013. He previously held posts with the company including interim President, PresidentCompetitive Group of Northeast Utilities, and President and Chief Executive Officer of NU Enterprises, Inc., the unregulated subsidiary of the Northeast Utilities system. Prior to that, he was copresident of the Constellation Energy Group, the parent company of Baltimore Gas Electric and other energy related businesses. Mr. Shivery is a director and audit committee member of Portland General Electric Company, an electrical utility company headquartered in Portland, Oregon. He is Chair of the Compensation Committee, and a member of the Executive Committee and the Nominating and Corporationrationrate Governance Committee. since 2009.
