He graduated from Ecole Superieure dElectricite. After serving as Chairman in 1981 of the National Confederation of Junior Companies, he began his career by creating a media company, AG Euromedia. From 1983 to 1989, he was a consultant and then a director of studies at Arthur Andersen in the industry mediapress and services sectors. He joined Bain Co. strategy consultants, where he became a Senior Partner in 1999 responsible for Telecom, Technologies and Media in Europe and a member of the International Board of Directors, with industrial groups and investors in Europe as clients. He acquired direct investment experience with the Atlas Venture fund, where he was Senior Partner and manager of their Paris office from 2000 to 2003. He joined Wendel in 2003. He is currently also a Director of Stahl Parent BV, Stahl Group SA, Stahl Lux 2 SA, and member of the Management Board of Materis Luxembourg Sarl, among others. since 2005.
