Mr. Daniel Cristian Gonzalez Casartelli is Chief Executive Officer of YPF Sociedad Anonima. He earned a degree in business administration from the Pontificia Universidad Catlica de Argentina. He worked for the investment bank Merrill Lynch Co. in Buenos Aires and New York where he held the positions of Head of Mergers and Acquisitions for Latin America and President for the Southern Cone, among others. While at Merrill Lynch, Mr. Gonzalez played a leading role in several of the most important investment banking transactions in the region and was an active member of the firms global fairness opinion committee. He remained as a consultant to Bank of America Merrill Lynch after his departure from the bank. Additionally, he has held the position of Head of Financial Planning and Investor Relations in Transportadora de Gas del Sur SA. Currently, he is a member of the Board of Directors of Adecoagro S.A. He was an alternate member of our Board of Directors from April 2014 to June 2014, a member of our Board of Directors from June 2014 to April 2016. He was CEO on an interim basis from April 2016 until June 2016 and was our Chief Financial Officer from July 2012 until April 2018. He is member of the Board of Directors of YPF Energa Elctrica S.A He is an alternate member of our Board of Directors since April 2016, and he is our CEO since April 2018 since 2018.
