Mr. ChungYao Li is Senior Vice President Asia General Manager of Applied Optoelectronics Inc. He has served as our Senior Vice President since November 2011 and as our Asia General Manager since July 2011. From 2007 to 2011 Mr. Li served as a general manager in Shanghai China for Pegatron Corporation an electronics and computing design and manufacturing company. Mr. Li served in various operational management capacities of Wistron Infocomm Corporation from 2005 until 2007. From 2002 to 2005 Mr. Li also served as an Assistant Vice President of Quanta Computer Inc. in Shanghai China since 2011.

Applied Opt Leadership Team
Elected by the shareholders, the Applied Opt's board of directors comprises two types of representatives: Applied Opt inside directors who are chosen from within the company, and outside directors, selected externally and held independent of Applied. The board's role is to monitor Applied Opt's management team and ensure that shareholders' interests are well served. Applied Opt's inside directors are responsible for reviewing and approving budgets prepared by upper management to implement core corporate initiatives and projects.
