He also served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Twitter from 2007 to 2008, and as the Chairman of the Board of Twitter from 2008 to 2015. He was a director of Twitter since 2007, a director of Square, Inc. since 2009, and a Director of the Company since 2013. Mr. Dorsey contributes to the mix of experience and qualifications the Board seeks primarily through his experience at Twitter, Inc. and Square, Inc., where he has extensive experience in the development of consumerfacing technology, particularly widelydistributed mobile and social applications, and the management of technologyoriented businesses.
