Mr. Roberto Casula serves as Chief Development, Operations Technology Officer at Eni S.p.A. since July 1, 2014. He joined Eni in 1988 as a reservoir engineer. He spent the first years of his professional life working at oilfields in Italy before moving to west Africa where he was appointed Chief Development Engineer. He returned to headquarters in 1997 as coordinator business development activities for Africa and the Middle East, contributing to a number of new initiatives and portfolio activities. In 2000 he became project Technical Services Manager and in 2001 moved to the Middle East as Project Director on a giant gas production project. From 2004 to 2005 he held a number of managerial positions in the Exploration Production Division, becoming Chief Executive Officer of Eni Mediterranea Idrocarburi SpA, engaged in oil and gas exploration and production in Sicily. At the end of 2005 he was appointed Managing Director of Enis activities in Libya, where he remained for two years and concluded the renegotiation of oil contracts and launched an important programme of social projects. In October 2007, he became head of operational and business activities in subSaharan Africa as Senior Vice President, based in Nigeria. In December 2011 he was appointed Executive Vice President of Enis Exploration Production Division and extended his responsibilities to include the whole of Africa and the Middle East and coordinating the Mozambique programme for the development of the Mamba and Coral discoveries. Since July 2014 he was a board member of Eni Foundation. He graduated in Mining Engineering from the Universita degli Studi di Cagliari. since 2014.
