Mr. Ronald A. Ratner is no longer Executive Vice President, Chief Development Officer of the Company, effective September 15, 2018. Mr. Ratner was our executive vice president development since January 2016 and an executive vice president at Forest City since March 1988. He is also an officer andor director of various subsidiaries of the Company. Mr. Ratner is active with numerous community, educational, charitable and professional organizations, including serving as a member of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Council, the Board of Trustees of the Cleveland Clinic and the Board of Trustees of Enterprise Community Partners. since 2018.

Forest City Realty Leadership Team
Elected by the shareholders, the Forest City's board of directors comprises two types of representatives: Forest City inside directors who are chosen from within the company, and outside directors, selected externally and held independent of Forest. The board's role is to monitor Forest City's management team and ensure that shareholders' interests are well served. Forest City's inside directors are responsible for reviewing and approving budgets prepared by upper management to implement core corporate initiatives and projects. On the other hand, Forest City's outside directors are responsible for providing unbiased perspectives on the board's policies.
