Dr. Hafize Gaye Erkan is President, Director of the Company. Ms. Erkan joined First Republic in 2014 as Chief Investment Officer and CoChief Risk Officer. She was appointed Chief Deposit Officer in January 2016 and President of First Republic in May 2017. Ms. Erkan works with CEO Jim Herbert in setting strategic direction and managing key client, shareholder and regulatory relationships. Additionally, Ms. Erkan oversees the Banks investment portfolio, deposit franchise, and New York and Boston regions. Prior to First Republic, Ms. Erkan was Managing Director and Head of Financial Institutions Group Strategies at Goldman Sachs, where she worked for nearly a decade. She advised Boards and Executive Management teams of many U.S. banks and insurance companies on balance sheet and risk management, stress testing, capital planning, and mergers and acquisitions since 2022.
