Ms. Gill Marcus is Independent NonExecutive Director of the Company, since January 1, 2018. Ms Marcus was Governor of the South African Reserve Bank from 200914. She worked in exile for the African National Congress from 1970 before returning to South Africa in 1990. In 1994 she was elected to the South African Parliament. In 1996 she was elected as the deputy minister of finance and 1999 the deputy governor of the Reserve Bank. Ms Marcus was the nonexecutive chair of the Absa Group from 200709. She has also been a nonexecutive director of Gold Fields Ltd and Bidvest. She acted as chair of a number of South African regulatory bodies, including the Financial Services Board and the Standing Committee for the Revision of the Banks Act. Ms Marcus is a graduate of the University of South Africa. since 2018.
